Pluto Squared is a large body of work inspired by living in the rainforest near Nightcap National Park. I had become intensely interested in astrology whilst living in this jungle environment. I discovered that Pluto was astrologically connected to my birth chart in more ways than one. Pluto means the unconscious, sexual drives, birth, life and death cycles and transformation. The paintings show the influence Hieronymus Bosch, the 16th century painter who's work has come to represent the realm of the unconscious and the Plutonian.
